By This Chasen Galleries connection was first made in 2004 when Alexys was one of the original curators of the gallery. It continues to this day as she remains a loyal supporter of their work and helps out where possible.

When Alexys is not working, she can often be found in her studio producing work. She also enjoys going to the beach, reading, and hanging out with her family, who have been a part of her life for 8 years.
Alexys was born in Somerset, England, and moved to Hong Kong with her parents at 14. She moved back to England 5 years later, at the age of 19, after which she worked for a short period for Chasen Galleries as an art assistant before being asked to do some freelance work with them. Alexys is currently living back in Hong Kong where she works full-time for Chasen Galleries as their Curator and freelance.
Very few can imagine what it’s like to be born and raised in a new country where you only speak the language for a little over a year before starting school. When Alexys was about 15, she and her family moved to Asia after living in Hong Kong for 10 years.
Alexys moved from Hong Kong to England at 19, where she worked with Chasen Galleries as an art assistant for three months before being asked to start freelancing for them.
Sometimes it takes one person to help another on their way toward success. Alexys’ parents were her most extensive support system both in her childhood and now as an adult.
Alexys first met Justin through Chasen Galleries connections. They had always wanted to collaborate at some point in their careers but were aware that it would be difficult for them to meet due to their working schedules. However, after meeting through a mutual friend, they began working together on their website and blog before deciding to co-curate the Autumn/Winter 2012 exhibition.
